Welcome to my humble site!
I´m a 45-year-old lawyer, husband, and father of an 11-year-old young girl.
I´m not a Lama, Rinpoche, Khenpo, nor do I have any doctorate studies in eastern religions, comparative religions or any kind of theological scholastic training. To all extents, I have no “formal” academic Buddhist studies, at least in western-world standards.
So, why do I dare teach, or even write about, something as profound and complex as Buddhism?
I live in El Salvador, a small country in Central America, and I have been the resident teacher of one of the largest Buddhist communities in El Salvador for almost a decade. I studied Buddhist Psychology, Buddhist Tanathology, Buddhist History, Buddhist Philosophy, and Buddhist Tantra, among others. I teach meditation on-line, and my courses have over 10,000 enrolled students.
About five years ago, I wrote a book in Spanish about the Four Noble Truths, and it eventually made the best-seller list in Amazon.
Most of the feedback I got from my book was that the readers considered my non-technical, down to earth way of explaining the teachings and that the fact that I was just a regular guy explaining the concepts and giving advice as I understood it, rather than being a hindrance, was my strongest asset!
So walk with me as we try to unravel this incredible subject that is the Buddha´s teachings.
By the way, I was a student of the late and great XIV Shamar Rinpoche.-
